Mutsy

Mutsy, originally founded as Mutsarrts in 1935, got its start building traditionally styled prams. Initially serving the Benelux countries of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, the idea of portability and comfort were critical given these countries’ emphasis on walking. The result was larger than normal wheels to provide improved maneuverability and a smoother ride for baby. The company was purchased by long-time employee Cees Driessen in the 1980s.

Mutsy continued to manufacture its trademark prams and expanded into other European markets. In the new millennium, the vision of the founder’s son, Freek Driessen, was to create an aesthetically pleasing and technologically advanced frame as the basis of a distinctive new line of innovative baby transport products.
The Mutsy collection is expertly designed to meet parents’ every need with a unique modular system that is extremely flexible. Engineered to fold from the front, the silhouette of the strollers is clean and modern. Various components fit into the Mutsy frame such as a travel cot (bassinet), a stroller seat, a car seat (with adaptor), and a fun seat for toddlers. The intelligent click mechanism is found on the babysitter chassis as well, so the stroller seat can be clicked in to make a rocker. The dinner tray can replace the front bumper bar for snack or mealtime, and the diaper bag can be attached to the back of the seat or the stroller handle for hands-free access. Each frame in the standard Mutsy line comes complete with a full-sized bassinet and stroller seat.
