>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Wear Your Baby - with a Rockin Baby Sling or Pouch! >>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Lisa McDaniel & Natasha Walsh are a 2-mom shop that have been making slings since 2002 when their first children were born. They first started making Rockin' Baby Slings because there weren't any super fashionable slings around back then. Lisa & Natasha both loved wearing their babies, but weren't completely happy with how the slings they had looked and worked. Since then they have added the Rockin' Baby Pouch which is a fully reversible pouch that is adjustable to 4 sizes via hidden zippers. Lisa & Natasha made the Rockin’ Baby Sling and Pouch for the modern parent who wants to remain fashionable, functioning and true to their sense of self while nurturing their baby. Both the sling and pouch can be worn in 5 different carrying positions to match baby’s mood and development up to 40 lbs. Babywearing is great for both parent and baby!

When Lisa & Natasha first started their business it was simply the two of them wanting to make a few stylish slings for themselves. It quickly grew into something else as women on the street would constantly come up to them asking where they could get one. That was when they decided we were really going to start a company. At first they were literally selling slings out of the trunks of their cars, but before long they got a website up and running and started selling slings online and wholesale. In 2005 Lisa & Natasha opened a store in Eagle Rock, California, that carries great baby and children's clothing, accessories and of course Rockin' Baby Slings and Pouches.
Babywearing comes from the simple desire to make your baby happy and to make your life easier. There are so many benefits to baby wearing you could fill pages listing them, yet if you walk down the street you’ll still see that most bouncy, warm, cuddly infants and toddlers who would prefer to be held, are at least an arms length away from their parent riding at knee level in a stroller, or being carried in an infant car seat that weighs much more then baby and is very unwieldy. Close contact with your baby does so much for both parent and baby. Here are just a few of the myriad ways babywearing improves life for baby, and / or mom and dad:
-Babies worn in slings are happier. A report in Pediatrics Journal states that babywearing reduces crying and fussiness up to 43% during the day and 51% at night. Babies who are carried cry less, smile more, spit up less, have less colic and bond better. That means you will also be happier!
-Babies who are carried learn more – that means your baby will be smarter! Babies who are worn are more frequently in the quiet-alert state, which is optimal for learning.
-Babies who are worn thrive. Because of the effects of motion and close contact babies who are worn spend less time crying, and more time growing and thriving.
-Babywearing helps you and your baby communicate better. You become more sensitive to baby’s needs and cues, which means that your baby will cry less because his or her needs are being met before crying is necessary.
-Wearing your baby is convenient – you don’t have to worry about narrow aisles, stairs or crowds, and it isn’t heavy or awkward like car seat carriers. Slinging also lulls baby to sleep.
-Babywearing liberates your arms so that you can get things done, like work or care for older siblings, while bonding with and soothing your baby.
-Babywearing makes discipline easier. Wearing your baby creates a deeper connection between parent and child. Research shows that well-connected children are more secure, settled, considerate, sociable, cooperative, adaptable, affectionate and willing to share.
